A RESOLUTION OF THE QTY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, SETTING UP
PROCEDURES FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF QTY CONTRACTS.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station has begun using new contract forms for standard
construction contracts and professional services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby approves a procedure for adoption of changes to contracts,
pursuant to this resolution; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE QTY COUNCIL OF THE QTY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1: That the City Attorney is legal advisor and counsel for the City and all officers and
departments.
PART 2: That the City Council delegates the administration of the City contracts to the City
Attorney.
PART 3: That the City Attorney shall consult with the City Council prior to implementing any
major changes to the City contract forms. Major contract changes are changes that
include the following:
Dispute resolution
Claim procedures
Indemnity (unless mandated by law)
Bond forms
Change in project delivery method
All other changes shall be considered administrative in nature to accommodate
changes desired in the methods for processing changes, scheduling and the like,
based on the preferences of the department personnel who use the contract.
PART 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
ADOPTED this 12` day of June, 2003.
