A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, APPROVING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE GREENS PRAIRIE
WIDENING PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station, Texas, solicited bids for the construction phase of the
Greens Prairie Widening Project; and
WHEREAS, the selection of Young Contractors, Inc. is being recommended as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction services related to Greens Prairie Widening Project; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby finds that Young Contractors, Inc. is the
lowest responsible bidder.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby selects the base bid plus alternate 1 and
alternate 2 in the bid proposal and approves the contract with Young
Contractors, Inc. for the for $2,739,445.30 for the labor, materials and
equipment required for the improvements related the Greens Prairie
Widening Project.
PART 3: That the funding for this Project shall be as budgeted from the Greens
Prairie Widening Project, ST -0214, in the amount of $2,714,335.30 and
from Fire Station No. 5 Project, GG -0201, in the amount of $25,110.00.
PART 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
