HomeMy WebLinkAbout3-27-2003-10.04 - Resolution - 03/27/2003 RESOLUTION NO. 3 -27- 2003 -10.04 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A QUITCLAIM DEED, AS REQUIRED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ( "TxDot ") TO RELEASE EASEMENTS WITHIN TXDOT RIGHT -OF -WAY AND TO OBTAIN STATE REIMBURSEMENT FOR RELOCATION COSTS FOR CITY OF COLLEGE STATION UTILITY FACILITIES LOCATED ALONG FM 158 IN BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS FROM FM 60 TO SH 30. WHEREAS, the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas Department of Transportation ( "TxDot "), requested that the City of College Station release by Quitclaim Deed easements within the TxDot right -of -way along FM 158 between FM 60 and SH30 in Brazos County, Texas; and WHEREAS, the City of College Station Utilities has obtained new easements and has relocated the electric infrastructure as requested by TxDot and has invoiced TxDot in the amount of $108,751.72 for the relocation work; and WHEREAS, TxDot will reimburse the City of College Station Utilities for the work once the Quitclaim Deed is executed; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: That the Mayor is authorized to sign the Quitclaim Deed to release easements within the TxDot right -of -way along FM 158 between FM 60 and SH30 in Brazos County, Texas, as required to obtain state reimbursement for the relocation costs for utility facilities located along FM 158 in Brazos County, Texas from FM 60 and SH 30. PART 2: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED this 27 day of March, A.D. 2003. AT EST: APPROVED: • .
