Brymer Anne Hazen College St41ion, Embracing the Past, Ezploring the Fuiure MINUTES College Station City Council Special Meeting Friday, February 7, 2003 at 12:00 pm College Station Administration Room, 1101 Texas Avenue College Station, Texas COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Silvia, Mayor Pro Tem Massey, Council members Hazen, Mears, Maloney, Garner COUNCIL MEMBER ABSENT: John Happ STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Brymer, Assistant City Manager Brown, City Secretary Hooks, City Attorney Cargill, Jr., First Assistant City Attorney Nemcik 1. Mayor Silvia called the meeting to order at 12:01 p.m. 2. Executive Session No executive session was held. Consultation with Attornev (Gov't Code Section 551.071); nossible action The City Council may seek advice from its attorney regarding a pending and contemplated litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information. Litigation is an ongoing process and questions may arise as to a litigation tactic or settlement offer, which needs to be discussed with the City CounciL Upon occasion the City Council may need information from its attorney as to the status of a pending or contemplated litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information. After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public. The following subject(s) may be discussed: Seek advice regarding the City's legal rights regarding the License to Encroach. Council Special Meeting 2/7/2003 Page 2 3. Presentation, discussion and possible action on a modification to a License to Encroach granted to 301 Church Avenue, L.P. for the Traditions Dormitory. Council member Maloney made a motion to approve the modification to a license to encroach granted to 301 Church Avenue for the Traditions Dormitory. The motion was seconded by Council member Garner, which carried unanimously, 6-0. FOR: Siliva, Massey, Mears, Maloney, Hazen, Garner AGAINST: None ABSENT: Happ Council member Maloney moved to adjourn the meeting at 12:04 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2003.
