A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, APPROVING A
GRANT APPLICATION WITH THE U.S. FIRE ADMINISTRATION OF THE FEDERAL
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR FUNDING FROM THE ASSISTANCE TO
FIREFIGHTERS GRANT PROGRAM FOR ACQUISITION OF A LIGHT DUTY RESCUE
VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT TRAILER.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Fire Administration of the Federal Emergency Management Agency
receives and administers grant funds under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program, 44 CFR
Part 152, for the purpose of making funds available for local projects that qualify under the list of
eligible categories; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station desires to apply for a grant for
acquisition of a light duty rescue type vehicle and equipment trailer; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby approves the grant application for $90,132.00 for the
purpose of purchasing a light duty, crew cab, rescue type vehicle and equipment
trailer.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby agrees to provide the local match contribution of
$38,628.00 as listed on the application.
PART 3: That the City Council hereby authorizes and designates the Fire Chief for the City
of College Station Fire Department to sign agreements with the Federal Emergency
Management Agency for this grant on behalf of the City of College Station.
PART 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
ADOPTED this 28 day of March, A.D. 2002.
