May 24, 1948
The City Council and some citizens interest in the cityts welfare met for
dinner in Aggieland Inn May 24, 1948 as guest of the city. After the
dinner had been finished the group retired to the city offices for a
discussion of some of the problems to be presented to the citizenship at
the Town Meeting May 25, 1948.
The following were present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Ames, Badgett,
Halpin and Orr; City Secretary McGinnis; City Manager Vaughn; City
Attorney Barger; and guests J. H. Binney, C. A. Bonnen, H. E. Burgess,
D. B. Cofer, L. P. Gabbard, J. R. Oden and L. S. Paine.
