RESOLUTION APPROVING TIlE PREPARATION OF A PRELIMINARY OFFICIAL
STAYEMENT AND RELATED MATERIALS FOR THE SALE OF "CITY O!:
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING AND
IMPROVEMENT BONDS. SERIES 2004" AND "CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS CERi'{I-iCATE$ OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 2004", INCLUDING
SELECTION OF A DATE FOR THE SALE OF SUCH OBLIGATIONS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City o£ College Stabon. Texas (the "Council") has
determined that tt is m tho hast interest of the City of College Station, Texas (thc "City") to issue its
Genernl Obligatmn Refunding and Improvement Bonds, Series 2004, in the estimated principal amount of
$13,235,000, and ~ Certificates of Obligation, Series 2004 in the estimated principal mnoum of
5'9,315,000 (collectively, the "ObUgetions") for purposes described in th.e below described donument as
soon as possible,
WI-~REAS, the City's Director of Fiscal Services, tho City's Fi-nn~oial Advisor, and the City's
Bond Counsel are prepared to distribute necessary doeumants for such sale on a negotiated basis;
NOW, THEREFOR.E, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS THAT:

substantsally in the form attaohad hereto, is hateby approved, and the D~tector of Fiscal Service. s and the
Financial Advisor are authorized to distribute same among the underwriters for the Obhgalions and other
mtemstad persons
2 The Director of Fiscal Se~vxces and the Financial Advisor are authorumd to apply to rating
agencies for ratings on the Oblig, atioas and to bond insurance companies for possible insurance of the
payment ol' the Obligations and to make presentattons to them and provide Io such entities the
mforraation reasonably raquested by them.
3. The Council hereby decm~ the Preliminary Official Statement to b~ t'mal tn compliance wnh
Rule 15c2-I2 of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
4. Thc Com~ctl hereby author~es ~ advisors, the Du~ctor o~'Fiscal Services, and its members to
do all things necessary, to sell tho Obhgetions on Aprd 29, 2004.
