RESOLUTION NO. 10-21-2004-12 .11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
APPROVING AN OPTIONAL RELOCATION PROGRAM REHOUSING AGREEMENT FOR
HOMEOWNERS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE DEMOLITION AND
RECONSTRUCTION OF A DILAPIDATED SINGLE FAMILY STRUCTURE AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS. the CIty of College Station, Texas, provides finanCial assistance pursuant to the City'S Commumty
Development Optional Relocation Program to assist clllzens In oblalnlng adequale, decent, safe. and samtaty
hOUSing. and Mr J D McQurren IS a qualified applicant for this program;
WHEREAS, the City of College Slatlon, Texas. solicIted bids (Bid #04-96) for the demolition and new construction
oflhe Single-family reSIdence localed at 515 Banks. College Stalion. Texas on behalf of J D McQurren and
WHEREAS, the selection of BICS ConstructIon IS beIng recommended as the lowest responsible bIdder for the
demolitIon and constructIon services related to 5] 5 Banks, College Stallon. Texas, now. therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College StatIon. Texas'
PART I That the City CounCIl hereby approves the Optional Relocation Program RehOUSing
Agreement for Homeowners With J.D McQurren, and authOrizes the expenditure of $4.950
for the demolition of the eXlSllng structure and $62.500 for the labor and matenals requl/'Cd
for the Improvements related 10 the Optional Relocation ProJecl of 515 Banks
PART 2 ThaI the CIty Council herehy finds that BICS Construction IS the lowest responSible bIdder
PART 3. That the City CounCIl hereby awards lhe contract to BICS Construction, a sole proprietor. In
the amount of$67,450
PART 4' That the funding for lhls Project shall be as budgeted from the CIty of College Slatlon's
Community Development Budget. Opllonal RelocatIon Program !'und. In the amounl of
$67,450
PART 5 Thai thiS resolution shall take effectlmmedlalely from and after its passage
