COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Silvia, Maloney, Massey, Lancaster, Berry, Happ
CO UN CIL MEMBER ABSENT: Wareing
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Brymer, Assistant City Manager Brown, City Attorney
Cargill Jr., City Secretary Hooks, Assistant City Secretary Casares
Mayor Silvia called the special meeting to order at 3 :09 p.m.
Special Ae:enda Item No. 1- Presentation. discussion and possible action on a resolution to
canvass the results of the May 7. 2005 Election.
City Secretary Connie Hooks expressed her thanks, appreciation and gratitude to all of the
citizens and City employees that worked on Election Day. She introduced Kay Parker, Central
Counting Judge.
Kay Parker, Central Counting Judge for the May 7, 2005 election cited the resolution declaring
the results official.
Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approve Resolution No. 5-18-2005-01 as presented.
Council member Massey seconded the motion, which carried unanimously, 6-0.
FOR: Silvia, Maloney, Massey, Happ, Lancaster, Berry
AGAINST: None
ABSENT: Wareing
Special Ae:enda Item No.2 - Oath of office to newlv elected officers and presentation of
Certificates of Election.
Municipal Court Judge Ed Spillane presented the oaths of office to each council member recently
elected to office: Council member Place 1, Ben White; Council member Place 3, Ron Gay; and
Council member Place 5, Chris Scotti.
Mayor Silvia presented each newly elected official with a Certificate of Election.

A reception followed for elected officials and guests attending the ceremony.
Special Ae:enda Item No.3 - Adjourn
Hearing no objections, the special meeting was adjourned at 3:36 p.m., on Wednesday, May 18,
2005.
PASSED and APPROVED this 22nd day of August, 2005.
