A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, SELECTING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACTOR, AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR LEGAL SERVICES
ASSOCIATED WITH THE HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the selection of Coats Rose is being recommended as the most highly qualified
provider of the legal services; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby finds that Coats Rose is the most highly qualified
provider of the services for negotiating, drafting contracts and transactional
documents for the Hotel Convention Center Project on the basis of demonstrated
competence and qualifications.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby approves the engagement letter with Coats Rose for an
amount not to exceed $80,000 for the legal services related to the Hotel Convention
Center Project.
PART 3: That the funding for this project shall be as budgeted from the Hotel/Motel Fund in
the amount of $80,000.
PART 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
ADOPTED this 15th day of December, A.D. 2005.
