College Station City Council
Special Meeting
Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 5:30 p.m.
City Hall Council Chambers, 1101 Texas Avenue
College Station, Texas

Call to order.
Mayor Silvia called the special meeting to order at 5:39 pm with all Council members
except Council members Gay and Scotti.
Council members discussed the interview process with applicants.
Mayor Silvia announced that the City Council would convene into executive session
pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Open Meetings Act to consider the appointment
and evaluation of personnel.

Executive Session

The City Council may deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation,
reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer. After executive
session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public. The following
public officer(s) may be discussed:
a. Planning and Zoning Commission
b. Zoning Board of Adjustments
c. Construction Board of Adjustments
d. Design Review Board
Council members Scotti and Gay arrived to the meeting.
Mayor Silvia announced that the Council concluded executive session at 9:42 pm.
Council returned to the open session at 9:43 pm.

Final Action on Executive Session.
The following action was taken. Council member Berry made a motion to reappoint
Ken Reynolds for a one year term, reappoint Bill Davis for a two year term, and new
appointments Harold Strong and Dennis Christenson for a two year term. Seconded
by Mayor Pro Tem Happ. Motion carried unanimously, 7-0.
Council member White made a motion to appoint Don Braune and Joshua Benn as
new members to the Zoning Board of Adjustments for a two year term. John
Richards was appointed Chairman. Appointed Charles Taylor, Denise Whisenant and
Traditional Values, Progressive Thinking

Marsha Sanford as alternates. Motion was seconded by Council member Gay.
Motion carried unanimously, 7-0.
4.
Adjourn. Mayor Silvia announced that the special meeting adjourned at 9: 55 p.m.
