Members present: Mayor Pro Tem J. A. Orr; Councilman Ames; City Engineer
F. J. Benson; and City Manager Vaughn.
Visitors present: Clarence Andrews, Lawrence Parker, R. B. Butler and
L. V. Haltom.
Clarence Andrews, R. B. Butler and L. V. Haltom each presented a bid in answer
to the request for bids published in the Battalion on Friday, August 15 and
Friday, August 22, 1947. The sealed bids were opened and tabulated as
follows:
Clarence Andrews $170643.00
L. V. Haltom 17,946.00
R. B. Butler 210663.00
In as much as a quorum was not present no official action was taken.
