HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/17/1946 - Regular Minutes - City Council 1110 MINUTES OF SECOND CALLED MEETING ..` June 17, 1946 Members present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Ames, Brown, Crawford, Harrington, Orr, Wilcox; City Manager Smith; and City Secretary McGinnis. Purpose of the meeting was to consider an ordinance vacating a street in the Cooner Addition, a request to open a miniature golf course in District No. 1, First Residential District, and a request to erect a pre-fabricated frame structure in District No. 4, First Business District. On motion of Councilman Harrington, seconded by Councilman Orr, Ordinance No. 89 entitled: "An Ordinance Vaoating a Certain Street Along Lot 5, Block 3, and Lot 17, Block 1, According to a Revised Plat of These Blocks, Cooner Addition, City of College Station, Texas," was passed at a final reading and ordered published. The Council voted unanimously to disapprove the opening of a miniature golf course in a residential area except in those instances in which the operators submit to the Council a statement signed by property owners concerned to the effect that such owners have no objection to the opening of the course.
