Visitors present: R. G. Davies, Ray Oden, Charles Gorzycki and L. D. Smith. Mr. Davies appeared before the Council to explain his audit of City affairs. The Council accepted the audit as presented. The request of B. M. Cooley & Associates for a ninety day permit to operate a Jeep Rental Service was left to the discretion of the City Manager with the understanding that any permission must comply with City Ordinance No. 27. The Council granted the request of. Milus Moore to operate a taxicab within the city limits. City Manager was instructed to prepare the necessary blanks for inspection of taxicabs as required by Ordinance No. 27. The Council tabled the request of B. & H. Golf Course for a franchise within the city limits. The Council set the tax rate at sixty cents per one hundred dollar valuation. The Mayor was authorized to address a comrrunication to the City Commission of Bryan expressing a desire that the Commission proceed with the proper negotiations in the sale of the R.E.A. lines within the city limits to the City of College Station. Ordinance No. 92 entitled "Garbage Ordinance" was passed to first reading. Ordinance No. 90 was passed to second reading and approved. A public hearing was ordered for the same date as the hearing on the city budget. Ordinance No. 91 was passed to second reading and approved. It was further ordered that copies of this Ordinance be placed in the hands of all real estate developers or other persons concerned therewith. The City Manager was authorized to secure quotations on materials necessary for extension of city water lines, sewer lines, and other service lines. App ‘44-1' 44. Mayor /7 Attest: ity Secretary 0 194
