October 31, 1946
Members present: Mayor Langford, Councilmen Ames, Crawford,
Harrington, Orr and Wilcox; City Secretary McGinnis and City
Manager Vaughn.
The purpose of the meeting was to complete negotiations for the
purchasing and financing of property for a City Cemetery.
On motion of Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Wilcox,
the following was adopted:
"The Mayor and the City Manager are authorized to borrow from
the College Station State Bank, or from any other source, the
sum of $6, 500.00 on an open note, due six months from date
with interest at four percent per annum. In the event that
it is found desirable to issue warrants for the repayment
of the loan, the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
prepare such warrants for that purpose . "
