April 5, 1945
Members presents Mayor E. Langford; Councilmen G. B. 'Wilcox,
C. W. Crawford, M. T. Harrington, J. A. Orr, E. E. Brown, and
R. L. Brown; and Lloyd D. Smith, City Manager.
Purpose of the meeting was to canvass votes cast in the city
election of April 3, 1945. The Council approved the following
tabulation as presented by the election judges
Ward 1 G. B. Wilcox 34
J. F. Grant 8
Ward 2 C. W. Crawford 16
Ward 3 R. L. Brown 12
A. P. Boyett 5
Councilmen Wilcox, Crawford, and Brown having received a majority
.:_ in each case were declared elected and took the oath of office
for the two year term ending with the general election in 1947.
