Members present: Mayor Langford, Councilmen E. E. Brown, Orr,
Harrington, Crawford, Business Manager Smith.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.
On motion by Mr. Crawford, seconded by Mr. Wilcox, Mr. Orr
was authorized to negotiate with the general contractor
paving the Sulphur Springs Road the question of having the
paving extended to all business properties along which it
passes.
The Mayor agreed to have prepared an ordinance regulating
smoking in picture shows and theaters.
The question of taking advantage of the acts of the last
Legislature so far as City Manager provisions are concerned
was discussed and referred to a later meeting of the Council.
Business Manager Smith was authorized to issue building per-
mits during the absence of City Engineer McNew.
