A regular meeting of the City Council was held at the City Office, June
17, 1943. Present were: Mayor Langford, Councilmen M. T. Barrington,
C. W. Crawford, E. E. Brown, and J. B. Quisenberry, visitor.
Mr. Quisenberry made a report on cemetery project, and was requested by
Mayor Langford to prepare a form letter to be sent out with the utility
bills to residents of the City of College Station.
The Board of Equalization was appointed as follows:
A. Mitchell, Chairman
F. R. Brison
V. M. Faires
The City tax rate was placed at 60/ by the City Council, and the
valuation is to remain at 50%; the same as that of the previous
year.
Mayor Langford was instructed to contact the City of Bryan and
Brazos County, regarding planning for entire County.
