MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, SEPTEMBER .8, 1941.
( ) Members Presents Mayor Anderson, Aldermen Langford, Munson, 1i1c.x,
and Orr.
Motion was made by ter. Langford, and seconded by Mr. Munson, that
the city extend the power line from the A. & M. consolidated Scho•l
to the Gymnasium site on the school grounds. Motion carried.
It was agreed that the Utilities Committee look into the matter
of extending the water line from West Park to the new Negro Schoo
A motion was made to this effect by Nix-. Munson, seconded by Mr.
Langford.
( ') Motion was made by lar. Wilcox, seconded by Dir. Munson, that the
deed for easement across the Dominik land , for $ 150, be accepte• ,
and recorded.
Motion was made by Mr.Langford, seconded by 'r. Munson, that Edwi
Maug be employed by the city for $ 90.00 a month, effective July
1, 1941. Motion carried.
Motion was made by A r. Wilcox that Ordinance Nol 65 be adopted.
" An Ordinance Vacating a Certain Portion of an Alley Along Lot 1 )
according to a revised plat of a part of Block 3, College Hills
Estates".
(. ) The Council accepted the recommendations of the Zoning Commission
of August 23, and instructed the Mayor to advertise a public hea -
ing in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance and the Revised Citril
Statutes.
