MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 1941.
A meeting of the City Council was held on Thursday, April 17, in
the City Office with Mayor Anderson, Councilmen Orr, Wilcox,
Lipscomb, Langford, Munson, and City Engineer IvMcNew present.
tt was agreed by the Council to extend Mr. Spark's utilities,
without cost to him; to grade and gravel the street through the
lot given for the purpose of opening the new street, and agreed
to grade and gravel the street, which runs in front of the Spark' .
lots south from the point now graveled, to include the intereecti.n.
The Mayor was authorized to use monies collected from fines on
the Campus, up to 50%, in paying bills for Campus traffic con-
trol.
A motion was made by Ivir. Orr, seconded by tr. Langford, that the
city be divided into three wb.rds, with two councilmen fepresent-
ing each ward; the wards to be as follows; (1) Area south of the
Campus; (2) Area east of Highway 6; (3) Remainder of the city;
and that the city attorney be requested to prepare on ordinance
to this effect; this ordinance to become effective and operative
at the next regular city election.
Motion was made by Mr. Munson, seconded by Mr. Orr, that Mr.
McNew be authorized to buy a carlaod of asphalt.
