Meeting of the City Council, Thursday, Sept. 5, 1940.
A regular meeting of the City Council was held in the City Of-
fice, Thursday, Sept. 5, with Mayor Anderson presiding, and Ald-
ermen Lipscomb, Langford, Wilcox, Orr and Munson, and City Eng-
( ) ineer McNew in attendance.
A motion was made by Mr. Langford, seconded by '4r. Lipscomb, to
pay Mr. Perritte $ 94.00 for his water line.
A motion was made by Mr. Munson, seconded by Mr. Orr, to accept
the water lines in Boyett Addition.
A motion was made by Mr. Orr, seconded by Mr. Langford, that the
Council accept the recommendation of the Zoning Commission do
Hest Park Addition.
A motion was made by Mr. Langford, seconded by Mr. Munson, that
the Council accept the proposition, as placed in writing, by
44r. Burgess.
• A motion wa made by Mr. Langford, seconded by Mr. Lipscomb,
that Mr. McNew and Mr. Orr be authorized to proceed with the
construction of the sewer line from truest Park Addition to the
line leading to College Park disposal plant, and that engineer
ing setvices be authorized, at 5% of the cost of the line.
• A motion was made by Mr. Lipscomb, seconded by Mr. Langford, to
pay the bills for the extensions already run in West Park Addit-
ion, Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Lipscomb, seconded by Mr. Orr, to allow
$ 170 for oil and gravel for repair on Su;phur Springs Road,
and oil on Bell Street. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Wilcox, seconded by Mr. Munson, to ad-
opt the Plumbing and Electrical L'rdinances, as submitted by Mr.
Steele, to the City Council. Motion carried.
A motion was made by kr. Munson, seconded by Mr. Orr, to put
a demand meter in West nark Addition, as soon as the city feels
I that it is financially able.
Motion was made y Mr. Orr, seconded by Mr. Munson, to adopt the
Ordinance pertaining to the moving of houses through city streets.
( Copies of this ordinance are to go to Mr. Marburger, Mrs. Wil-
liamson, and Mr. Hyatt.) Motion carried.
