Meeting of the City Council on May 7, 1940.
A special meeting of the City Council was held at two o'clock in
the city office May 7, with Mayor Anderson, Aldermen Langford,
Lipscomb, Orr and Munson, and City Engineer I!4ci1ew and 'ity manag-
er Scott from Bryan present..
A motion was made by Langford and seconded by Munson to authorize
the Mayor and the Council Utility committee to go ahead with the 1
water lines in the north east corner of the city, and to negotiate
what means are necessary to do this work. IVittion carried.
A motion was made by -Orr and seconded by Langford that the city
immediately secure pipe to start work in that area, andtonpro-
ceed4ith borrowing money to go ahead with the north east corner
utilities. motion carried.
Motion was; made by Langford and seconded by Lipscomb to : eep
. the city office in the aosolik Building. Motion carried.
