Station, March 27, 1940.
A special meeting of the "ity Council was held in the "ity 0"fice
on March 37th at 7 p.m. with Ma yor Binney presiding, and Alderman
) Jones, Wilcox, Lipscomb, Orr and Gabbard, and City Attmr ney J.
W. Barger, City Engineer AucNew, and City Sanitary Engineer Steel
in attendenoe.
A form of applieation for a building permit was read by Mr. Orr.
A motion was made by Orr and seennded by Jones that the ballots
be handed to the printer on Thursday, March 28th,. Motion car-
' ried.
It was agreed that there would be a meeting of the council tore-
ceive the election returns on Tuesdgry, April 2nd at 8:15 P.M.
A motion was made by Jones and seconded by Wilcox to give permis-
sion to Mr. lviarburger to move a house through the streets of Col-
lege Ststion - at the responsibility of College- and to repair
the streets if necessary.
A motion was made by Jones and seconded by Orr to have a letter
written from the city office to be sent to the signers of the
request that the tree be cut in the alley between Lee and Per-
shing Streets, if the property owners are not willing to pro-
vide a right of way around the tree- by April 10th.
A motion was made by Orr and seconded by Lipscomb that the map
sent in by lar. Holik be referred to the Planning Board. Motion
carried.
Motion was made by Wilcox and seconded by Orr to have the Deputy
City Marshall made the necessary utlity connections in Oakwood
Addition. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Jones and seconded byt0rr to pay Miss Udaley
$3.00 for typing done for the city.
It was agreed that the salaries for the city officials be set at
) the regular meeting to be held Thursday March 28th.
