Copy of the Minutes of a Special Meeting of the City Council on
Sunday, February 4, 1940.
The City Council of the City of bollege Station met with Dr. F.
B. Clark for the consideration of the purchase of the utilities
of the College Park Community.
Dr. Clark presented a proposal whereby the purchase could be mad:
at a price of $ 15,000+ 00.
The douncil went on record as approving the purchase of these
utilities, according to the terms of the purchase, pending the
v'completion of financial arrangements.
' Motion was made by Wilcox and seconded by Orr that the Council
approve this action. Vote unanimous, Jones, Orr,Gabbard, Binney
Wilcox.
A suggestion by Dr, Clark that the Council inform Mr. Burchard
that it will perhaps work on the completion of the water main lo►p
immediately.
Later-
Gabbard moved that the Council instruct the city secretary to co -
' tact College Hills concerning proposals leading to the acquisit-
ion by the 0ity of College Station of the utilities. Seconded b
Orr. Vote unanimous.
