The City Council met in the City Office on Sept.11 ,
1959 7: 30 P. U. to select a secretary. Miss Tisin-
ger appeared beforethe Council to make application.
Moved by Mr. Gabbard and seconded by 1Tr. Wilcox to
expend 300.00 on County Health Unit .
The question of choosin.q: a City Secretary was ,;on-
sider•ed paramount . It was decided to consider the
matter after a11o,7ink Yrs. Sneed to appear before the
� Council .
The question of 'Deputy Marsha 1 was considered .
A report was made by Mayor Binney on the Taxi situa c-
ion. Dr. Binney and Mr. Gabbard met on Thursday evehiug
September 6 , with Mayor Langford , Bryan, and agreed to
e•ive C. P. James a license. Mayor Pinney reported a
friendly reception by the Bryan committee.
It was decided to meet September 12 , 1939 in the
northwest room on the first floor of the :1cademic Build-
ing to decide on a Secretary.
Moved by Mr. Gabbard to employ and put on a man at
$75.00 per month to act as City Marshall ; agreed to le ;
Sam Hopper find out what could be done regarding ealer;) .
