.Minutes of the I,:eeting of the City Council Oct . 5, 1930
The regular meeting of the City Council was held at
) 7:30 P.M. on Oct. 5 , in the city office with Mayor
Binney presiding , and Aldermen Lipscomb , Wilcox and
Gabbard in attendance.
The Board of Equalization met with the Council and gave
its report. The following resolution was made by Al-
cox and seconded by (1-abbard: To thank the Board of ;au-
. alization for its valuable work , and to I.sk the Board
• to accept the appreciation of the Council. Resolution
adopted.
Mr. J. A . Orr took the oath of office as Alderman.
Motion was made by LiPscomb 76ndseconded, byiGabbaxdt:'•::
to authorize the city secretary to write letters to ''sir.
V. K. Sugareff and to Mr. W. W. Waugh, thanking them
for their services in the recent election. Motion
carried .
A motion was made by Wilcox and sedonded by Lipscomb
to authorize the -purchase of necessary equipment for
. making up the tax rolls, Motion carried.
Upon motion made by Gabbard and seconded by Wilcox the
following resolution was adopted: That the secretary,
with the approval of the Mayor,,' be instructed to pay
e
all bills up to the amount of 10 .00.•
The following repeal of Ordinance No . 15 was made: Be
it ordained by the City Council of the City of College
Station that Ordinance No. 15, regulating traffic in
- the north gate area , be , and hereby is repealed .
Motion was made by Wilcox and seconded by Lipscomb to
adopt the following ordinance- No. 31. Motion carried .
( ) Mr. Barger reported on the taxi cab situation, and read
a letter which was written to the Bryan-College TractiDn
Company.
Meeting adjourned .
