Minutes of the Meeting of the Gity Council., Nov . 2 , 1139
, \ The regular meeting of the City Council was held at
� ) 7 :30 P.M. on \ovember 2 in the city office , with
Mayor Binney presiding , and Aldermen Gabbard , Jones ,
Lipscomb , and Orr in attendence .
Dr. Dodd and Mr. Staples , with the Public Health
Service , met with the Council , and told of the field
work which they are doing , and expressed a desire
to oytline a Sanitation Program and present it to
the city.
Dean Bolton met with the Council and reported on
the work which he and Mr. Wright had done in conneo-
( ) tion with the Telephone and Gas Franchises. A vote
of appreciation was given Dean Bolton by the Council
for being present .
A motion was made by Orr and seconded by Gabbard to
pass Ordinance No. 32, on second reading. ( Ordinanc;
for traffic lights) .
Mr. Steel met with the Council and read the Milk
Ordinance and the ordinance regulating Eating and
Drinking establishments. A motion made by Gabbard
and seconded by Jones to adopt the Milk Ordinance.
Motion carried .
Motion was made by Orr and seconded by Gabbard to
adopt the Ordinance regulating Eating and Drinking
establishments . Motion carried.
A request was made by the Council for Mr . Orr and
Mr. McNew to make an appraisal on all utilities and
report back.
It was agreed that -"ayor Binney is to contact the
Mayor of Bryan and call a joint meeting to talk on
the taxi cab and buss situation.
A motion was made by Lipscomb and seconded by Orr
to pay a bill of 459.79 for building the power line
to the Boyette homestead.
Meeting adjourned.
