Minutes of Meeting of City Council on April 20 , 1939
!fl The regular meeting of the City Council was held on
April 20 , 1939 in room 400 Agricultural Building, of
the Agricultural end Mechanical College of Texas, with
Mayor Binney presiding and Aldermen Long, Tipscom b ,
Jones and Gabbard and City Attorney Barger and City
Marshall Hopper in attendance.
• The following ordinances were duly presented :
• ( 1 ) On motion of Lipscomb and seconded b:; Long the
ordinance was unanimously adopted. -i 11.
( 2 ) On motion of Jules and seconded by Gabbard the
ordinance Was unanimously adopted. t, 12 .
( 3) On motion of Tong and seconded by Lipscomb the
ordinance was unanimously adopted , : 13.
It a moved b: Jones to rentone office in the
Sosolik building for the purpose of transacting City
business at the rate of _'l7.50 per month with all util-
ities furnished . No specified time was set for the
length of occupancy. Gabbard seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
It Was moved by Long to nay-a stationery bill amount-
( ) ing to 13.95 to the A&M Press. Lipscomb seconded the
motion. Motion carried .
