Minutes of Meeting of City Council on March 30 , 1939
The regular meeting; of the City Council was held on
C' 1 March 30 , 1939 in Room 400 Agricultural Building, of
the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, with
Mayor Binney presiding and Aldermen Langford , Wilcox,
Gabberd , and Jones and City Attorney Barger and City
Marshall Hopper in attendance.
Mr. Barger was asked by Mayor Binney to draw up an
ordinance to adopt the Batallion as the official paper ,
On motion of Wilcox and seconded by G bberd it car-
ried that Dean Gilcrist and Mr. McNew g,et a map showing
water lines and present it to the fire insurance cam-
( mission to c;et insurance rates lowered in order to get
a definite key rate for College Station, Texas.
Mayor Binney appointed Dr. Jones to meet with Mr.
Hopper, Dr. ;`Talton, and Col. Moore to discuss traffic
rules.
Meeting adjourned .
