Minutes of Meeting of City Council on March 16 ,1939
The regular meeting of the City Council was held on
March 16 , 1939 , in Room 400 Agricultural Building, of
the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas , with
j\( Mayor Binney presiding end Aldermen Langford , Gabbard ,
Jones , and Mitchell and City Engineer MeNew, City Mar-
shall Hopper, and City Attorney Barger in attendance.
The following ordinances were duly presented:
( 1 ) On motion of Langford and seconded by Gabbard th►;
ordinance was unanamously adopted , 5 3.
( 2 ) On motion of Langford and seconded by Mitchell
the ordinance was unanamously adopted , ,r4.
( 3) On motion of Gabbard and seconded by Langford thi,ordinance was unanamously adopted , 7r5.
( 4) On motion of Langford and seconded by Mitchell
the ordinance was unanamously adopted , r6.
Mr. Jimmie Aston, City Manager of Bryan , discussed
at length with the city council the contract for sup-
• plying water to College.
