HomeMy WebLinkAbout6-22-2006-13.09 - Resolution - 06/22/2006 103 RESOLUTION NO. 06-22-2006-13.09 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, SELECTING A PROFESSIONAL CONTRACTOR, APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR THE ANNEXATION AREAS 5 AND 6 UTILITIES PROJECT. WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to use a consultant on the Annexation Areas 5 and 6 Utilities Project who has previously consulted with the City and other Texas cities concerning sewer lift stations, sanitary sewer systems and wastewater treatment issues; and. WHEREAS, the selection of Pledger Kalkomey, Inc., is being recommended as the most highly qualified provider of the engineering design services for this Project; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas: PART 1: That the City Council hereby finds that Pledger Kalkomey, Inc., is the most highly qualified provider of the services for the Annexation Areas 5 and 6 Utilities Project on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualifications. PART 2: That the City Council hereby approves the contract with Pledger Kalkomey, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $97,000.00 for the engineering design, design guideline and construction administration services related to the Annexation Areas 5 and 6 Utilities Project. PART 3: That the funding for this Project shall be as budgeted from the following budget items: . Wastewater Fund (SWOC), Rock Prairie South of Carters Lake, in the amount of $20,250.00 and Greens Prairie Road Corridor East in the amount of $26,250.00 . Water Fund (WTWOC)Rock Prairie South of Carters Lake, in the amount of $20,250.00 and Greens Prairie Road Corridor East in the amount of $20,250.00 . Oversize Participation and Planning (Design Guideline) in the amount of $10,000.00 PART 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
