A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, APPOINTING AN EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR FOR
THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to prepare for the occurrence or
imminent threat of widespread or severe damage, injury, or loss of life or property
resulting from any natural or man -made cause, requiring emergency action; and
WHEREAS, the Governor's Division of Emergency Management (GDEM) in
accordance with the Texas Disaster Act of 1975, Chapter 418 shall identify the
Emergency Management Director and /or Emergency Management Coordinator
responsible for the emergency management program; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby recognizes Mayor Ben White as the
Emergency Management Director (EMD).
L PART 2: That the Mayor /EMD appoints Brian Hilton as the Emergency
Management Coordinator for the City.
PART 3: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage.
ADOPTED this 28 day of June, A.D. 2007.
