COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor White, Mayor Pro Tem Gay, Council
members Crompton, Massey, Mcllhaney, Scotti
COUNCIL MEMBER ABSENT: Ruesink
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Special Agenda Item No. 1 — Public hearing, presentation, possible action, and
discussion on the City of College Station 2007 -2008 advertised ad valorem tax rate
of $0.449951 per $100 valuation. Also discussion and possible action on announcing
the meeting date, time and place to adopt the tax rate.
Chief Financial Officer Jeff Kersten described the City of College Station 2007 -2008
advertised ad valorem tax rate of $0.449981 per $100 valuation. He noted that this was
the second public hearing. The City Council is scheduled to vote on the tax rate on
Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
Mayor White opened the public hearing. The following citizens addressed the City
Council encouraging the City Council to fund lighting at the Little League Softball
Fields.

Charlie Hrncir, 806 Plum Hollow Drive
Mayor White closed the public hearing.
Mayor Pro Tem Gay moved to adopt the tax rate on September 13, 2007 in the City Hall
Council Chambers, 1101 Texas Avenue, College Station, Texas at 7:00 p.m... Council
member Mcllhaney seconded the motion, which carried unanimously, 6 -0.

Hearing no objections the meeting adjourned at 7:21 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5,
