AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2D, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION RELATING TO SPECIAL
HAZARD INTERSECTIONS CONTROLLED BY STOP SIGNS, AND DECLARING
THAT A3'I'ENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE ACTION.
WHE. REAS, the City Council mst at its regular mesting on June 10, 1993, and found
that it would be in the best interest and safety of the citizens to amend Chapter 10,
Section 2D, of the Code of Ordinances by removing stop signs at the approaches to
the following intersections:
Frost Drive eastbound st Foxfire Drive, and
Frost Drive westbound st Fox'tim Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION:
That Chapter 10, Section 2D, of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended as
follows:
SPECIAL H,~.ARD INTERSECTIONS
CONTROLLED BY STOP SIGNS
The City hereby designates certain special hazard intersections to be
controlled by stop signs. The designated special hazard intersections for the
City of College Station to be controlled by stop signs are described in Traffic
Control Device Inventory - Schedule III (dated August 2, 1988, as amended)
on file in the office of the City Secretary. This schedule is hereby adopted
and incorporated in this Code as if set out st length herein.
Frost Drive eastbound at Foxfire Drive, and
Frost Drive westbound at Foxfire Drive.
The schedule may be amended from time to time by ordinance of the City
Council. A current schedule shall be maintained by the City Secretary st all
times."
II.
The p.r~..ervation of the general welfare of the public necessitates immediate action.
This Ordinance shall be effective from and after the date of its passage as provided
by the Charter of the City of College Station.
