AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2D, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION RELATING TO SPECIAL HAZARD INTERSECTIONS
CONTROLLED BY STOP SIGNS, AND DECLARING THAT ATTENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE
IMMEDIATE ACTION.
WHEREAS, the C~ty Council met at ~ts regular meeting on June 22, 1995, and found that ~t
would be ~n the best ~nteres! and safety of the c~t~zens to amend Chapter 10, Section 2D, of the
Coda of Ordinances by adding stop s~gns at the following intersections
Ill Georgia Street Southbound at Nevada Street
(2J Detroit Street Southbound at Nevada Street
~3} Carolina Street Southbound at Nevada Street
{4) Phoemx Street Southbound at Nevada Street
NOW, THEREFORE. RE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION THAT

Chapter 10, Section 2D, of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to reed as follows:
'D SPECIAL HAZARD INTERSECTIONS
CONTROLLED BY STOP SIGNS
The C~ty hereby designates certain specml hazard ~ntersect~ons to be controlled by stop s~gns
The designated special hazard ~ntersectlons for the City of College Station to be controlled by
stop s~gns are descnbed ~n Traffic Control Device Inventory - Schedule III {dated August 2, 1988,
as amended) on file tn the office of the C~ty Secretary. Th~s schedule ~s hereby adopted and
incorporated ~n th~s Code as ~f set out at length here~n and rs amended by adding stop s~gns at
the following special hazard intersections.'
{1) Georgia Street Southbound et Nevada Street
{2) Detroit Street Southbound at Nevada Street
(3} Carohna Street Southbound at Nevada Street
~41 Phoenix Street Southbound at Nevada Street
The schedule may be amended from t~me to t~me by ordinance of the C~ty Council
A current schedule shall be maintained by the C~ty Secretary at all t~mee."

The preservatson of the general welfare of the pubhc necessitates ~mmed~ate action, Th~s
Ordinance shall be effective from and after the date of its passage es provided by/.he Charter of
the C~ty of College Station
