A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, APPROVING A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR THE ANNUAL
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE FOR SEVENTEEN (17) PROPERTIES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, solicited bids for Annual
Landscape Maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the selection of Rainbow Gardens Nursery is being recommended as the lowest
responsible bidder for the municipal sites contained in Section I of Bid #09 -81 for Annual Landscape
Maintenance; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby approves that Rainbow Gardens Nursery is the
lowest responsible bidder.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby approves the contract with Rainbow Gardens
Nursery for an annual estimated expenditure of $152,168.00 for the labor,
materials and equipment required for the Annual Landscape Maintenance
functions for the seventeen (17) properties contained in Section I of Bid #09 -81.
PART 3: That the City Council hereby agrees that the funding for these services shall be
as budgeted from the General Fund, Parks and Recreation Department, in the
amount of $106,270.00; Northgate Parking Fund in the amount of $10,933.00;
Electric Fund in the amount of $22,520.00; Water /Wastewater Fund in the
amount of $6,520.00; and Economic Development Fund in the amount of
$5,925.00.
PART 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
ADOPTED this 8th day of October , A.D. 2009.
