Item 7.3 Solid Waste Container Lease Agreement

Question: What is the issue on new specifications by staff that caused Texas Commercial waste to drop
out?
Response: The new specification was that the interior of the containers be lined. We are having issues
with containers rusting out and leaking soon after delivery, especially at food service locations, causing
unsanitary conditions and customer complaints.
The initial bid received from Texas Commercial Waste (TCW) was non-responsive concerning the liners.
During the interview, an invitation was extended to TCW to revise their bid to include the spray-in liner.
They responded with an email stating “Texas Commercial Waste respectfully request that our proposal
for RFP 26-066 be removed from consideration by the City of College Station.”
