I'm Tom Turbiville. Mutual cooperation between local media was certainly a thing in the early years of WTAW. It still is. If it was going to be broadcast, well, you would read about it in the Bryan Eagle. The Eagle even warned the public when WTAW was not going to broadcast. The December 15, 1925, edition of the Eagle had the headline, Radio Programs from WTAW Cease Holidays. A little awkward on the headline, but let's quote from the article and note the writing style. The station will not be operated from December the 18th to January 6th on account of the Christmas holidays at the college, which will continue until January 4th. Beginning with the first week in January, however, the station will broadcast regularly on Wednesday and Friday evenings throughout the remainder of the school year. With the opening of the basketball season, in January, the station will broadcast all basketball games held at the college. In addition to the Wednesday and Friday programs, the station will be on air every Sunday morning at 11 o'clock with the regular Sunday morning religious service conducted at Guion Hall. Each Sunday, some outstanding minister of the state preaches to the assembly of students and campus people and visitors. Good cooperation between the Bryan Eagle and WTAW, the first 100 years.
