1. Call to Order. 1938 2013
2. Hear Visitors. Visitors after stating name and address for the record may address the Historic
Preservation Committee for three (3) minutes. Topics for deliberation shall be discussed under
the appropriate agenda item, placed on the agenda of a subsequent meeting, or assigned to
staff for research. However, a statement of specific factual information or the recitation of
existing policy may be issued.
3. Possible action and discussion on absence requests.
4. Possible action and discussion of minutes for: June 4, 2012.
5. Chair report and introduction of new Historic Preservation Committee members.
6. Discussion of Committee goals and objectives to present to City Council.
7. . Report from HPC staff on Project HOLD and Historic Records Coordinator Office activities.

8. Review, possible action, and discussion regarding the following sub - committees:
• Historic Marker Program — M.D. Marshall
• Oral History Transcription Project
• Exploring History Lunch Lecture Series —Marci Rodgers, Ann Hays, Jerry Cooper
• 75th Anniversary — Linda Harvell, Jerry Cooper
• College Station Oral History Interviews & Educational Initiatives — Libby Vastano
9. Determine members to introduce October and November Exploring History Lunch Lecture
speakers.

of Cadets History, presented by Dr. John Adams, introduced by
Jerry Cooper, Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 11:30 a.m.

• Oct. 11, 2012 75 Anniversary Sub - Committee meeting , City Hall, 8:30 a.m.
• Oct. 17, 2012 "Hidden Treasures of Cushing Library," presented by Dr. Todd
Samuelson, introduced by undetermined, Aldersgate United
Methodist Church, 11:30 a.m.
• Nov. 5, 2012 HPC Regular meeting, Stephen C. Beachy Central Park office, 4:00

• Nov. 8, 2012 75 Anniversary Sub - Committee meeting, City Hall, 8:30 a.m.
• Nov. 14, 2012 "Second Thoughts: Presidential Regrets with their Supreme Court
Nominations," presented by William Harper, Introduced by
undetermined, Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 11:30 a.m.
• December NO PROGRAM
11. Presentation and discussion of historical items presented by committee members, which may
include historical books, pictures, artifacts, scrapbooks, or other memorabilia. No action will
be taken.
12. Presentation, possible action and discussion on future agenda items - A Historic Preservation
Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of
specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation
shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
