1. Call to Order.
With a quorum present, the Special Meeting of the Sunset Advisory Commission was
called to order by Merribeth Kahlich at 6:18 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012 in the
Administrative Conference Room, City Hall, 1101 Texas Avenue, College Station,
Texas, 77842.
2. Hear Visitors.
No visitors present.
3. Presentation, possible action and discussion to approve absentee requests.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Sunset Advisory Commission Member Kahlich and
a second by Sunset Advisory Commission Member Trost, the Sunset Advisory
Commission voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the absence of
Chairman Erwin and Commission Member Marsh.
4. Presentation, possible action and discussion to approve meeting minutes from May
7, 2012.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Sunset Advisory Commission Member Kahlich and
a second by Sunset Advisory Commission Member Marshall, the Sunset Advisory
Commission voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the minutes from May
7, 2012, with the amendment to change Commission Member Merribeth Kahlich from
being present at the May 7, 2012 meeting, to being absent.
5. Presentation possible action, and reconsideration of proposed Sunset Final Report,
to be presented to City Council at the June 14, 2012 meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Sunset Advisory Commission Member Kahlich and
a second by Sunset Advisory Commission Member Parker, the Sunset Advisory
Commission voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the Final Sunset Report
with discussed changes:
• Landmark Commission: No new recommendations from Sunset Advisory
Commission.
• Historic Preservation Committee: No new recommendations from Sunset
Advisory Commission.
6. Discussion and possible action on future agenda items — A Sunset Advisory
Commission member may inquire about a subiect for which notice has not been
given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy
may be give. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subiect for
a subsequent meeting.
No action taken.
7. Adiournment
There being no further business, the Special Meeting of the Sunset Advisory
Commission at 6:56 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2012.
