Called City Council Meeting
June 18, 1975
4:00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Mayor Pro-Tem Bell, Councilmen Halter, Gardner, Adams,
Bravenec, Dozier; City Manager Bardell; Assistant Director
Public Works Ford; Building Official Koehler; City Planner
Mayo; Administrative Secretary Sadie Holligan.
MEMBERS ABSENT:
Mayor Holt
VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register.
T_he meeting was called to order at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Agenda Item No. 1 -- Work session of t~he bu. dget for the fiscal year 1975-76.
Ms. Shirley Plapp from R.S.V.P. made a presentation from R.S.V.P. and made
a budget request of $1,500.00.
Mrs. Phyllis Dozier and a contingent from the Arts Council of Brazos Valley
made a request of $6,070.00.
Mayor Pro-Tem Bell read a letter from the Brazos Valley Mental Health and
Mental Retardation Center requesting $8,500.00. Councilman Dozier requested
that the Council ask this agency to submit a budget and a plan for expendi-
ture of the $8,500.00.
Councilman Halter volunteered and was appointed as the Council Liaison member
on the Beautification Committee.
Councilman Dozier moved that the Council adjourn into an executive session
to study salaries for the budget. Councilman Adams seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
The Council convened to open session.
The meeting was adjourned.
