Called City Council Meeting
March 3, 1975
7'00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor O. M. Holt; Councilmen Fred Brison, Don Dale, Homer
Adams, James Dozier, Jim Gardner, Larry Bravenec; City Manager
North Bardell; Director of Public Works Dulaney; Assistant
Director of Public Works Ford; City Attorney Neeley Lewis;
Fire Chief Doug Landua; Building Inspector Bobby Williams.
MEMBERS ABSENT' None.
VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register.
The meeting was called to order at 5'00 P.M.
Agenda Item No. 1-- Hear visitors. No one spoke.
Agenda Item No. 2 -- Consideration of amendments, to p_r_dinan~e 608 and Ordinance 712.
Mr. Ford and Mr. Bardell explained the changes proposed in Ordinance 608. Mayor Holt
pointed out that this ordinance would require that a policy would need to be set by the
Council at a later time. Councilman Adams stated that this ordinance should be
considered at a regular meeting. Councilman Bravenec suggested that policies and
ordinances which set rates should be reviewed annually.
Councilman Dale moved the adoption of Ordinance No. 95~ amending Ordinance No. 608.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Dozier and was approved by the following
vote- FOR---Dale, Brison, Dozier, Gardner, Bravenec. AGAINST---Adams.
Mayor Holt said that the policy would be considered at the next regular meeting.
Mayor Holt stated that the amendment to Ordinance No. 712 concerned personnel
matters and would be discussed in executive session. He therefore adjourned
the meeting to executive session in accordance with the Open Meetings Law No.
6252-17, Section 2, Sub-section g.
The meeting was recalled to open session. Councilman Dale moved that consideration
of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 712 be placed on the agenda of the next
regular meeting. The motion was seconded by Councilman Adams and unanimously
approved.
Agenda Item No. 3 -- Other business. There was no other business.
