holding onto past minutes of Policy Board meetings for approval. The minutes will be handled in
chronological order for Policy Board review and approval. Action Required. (See attachments.)
4) Staff Report
• Unified Planning Work Program
• Complete Streets Planning
• New Planning Funds Billing Template
• TxDOT/MPO Planning Agreement
5) Category Nine (Transportation Alternatives) Call for Projects Document
-Under federal requirements, an MPO that has access to directly select and fund Category Nine
(Transportation Alternatives), a call for projects document must be prepared each year. Since
any non-profit can request these funds, federal law requires that each MPO set up a process for
how to apply. This includes setting the scoring criteria as part of the call. MPO staff has met
twice with the Active Transportation Advisory Panel (A TAP) to review and fine tune the document.
At their last meeting, the ATAP unanimously recommended the attached Call for Projects
document for consideration by the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). With some minor edits,
the TAC has recommended that the Policy Board adopt the Category Nine Call for Projects
document and to direct staff to conduct a Call for Projects as soon as possible. Action Required.
