From: Gary Halter Chairman Subject: Meeting Time Let me apologize for not calling a meeting sooner. We need to find a time when we can all meet. Please indicate below the day of week and time of day you would like to meet and return this to me. My address is: Department of Political Science Mail Stop 4348 Texas A &M University College Station, Texas 77843 -4348 Let me suggest that our primary agenda for the next year should be Historic Markers in the City. Several people have suggested a number of sites that deserve makers. If you have other items you would like to include please indicate below. Name: Day of Week Time of Day Items for Agenda Fyi CITY OF COLLEGE STATION ` Community Center 1300 Jersey Street College Station, Texas 77840 (409) 764 -3720 (409) 764-3720 MEMORANDUM TO; College Station Historical Marker Advisory Committee Joan Lamkin, Chairman DATE: February 6, 1990 The next Historic Marker Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20th at 3 :30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. here at the Community Center. This will be a very important brain storming session on the next two markers we will make applications for. We are very fortunate to have two students assisting us in doing the actual research and writing of the applications for these markers. They will graduate in early May 1990 from TAMU, so they need support and suggestions from this committee on February 20th. Lincoln High School location marker will be researched by Robert Marraro. Shiloh Community /Cemetary marker will be researched by Keith Beyer. Please be thinking of any information you might have, any contact people, or places these young men can research on these two marker topics. Bring your ideas to the February 20th meeting. I look forward to seeing you at this meeting. Please call me at 764 -3720 to confirm you will be there. Both Robert and Keith will be introduced at the meeting. xc: Robert Marraro 774 -7541 or 764 -3768 Keith Beyer 693 -3569 fir P. S. Thanks for all your help and support on the College Station A &M Consolidated School Marker. At this time, the application is at the Texas Historical Commission in Austin.
