The City Council may or may not attend the Citizens Charter Review Commission Meeting.
1. Call to Order and Roll Call.
2. Hear Visitors: A citizen may address the Commission on any item which does not appear on
the posted Agenda. Speakers must sign in no later than fifteen minutes before the meeting.
Remarks will be limited to three minutes. The Commission will receive the information, ask staff
to look into the matter, or place the issue on a future agenda. Comments should not personally
attack other speakers, Commission or staff.
3. Presentation, discussion and possible action on minutes for July 6, 2011 Regular Meeting.
4. Presentation, discussion and possible action on Article 3, The City Council, within the City Charter to
address issues including, but not limited to, length of terms, term limits, and residency place systems.
5. Presentation, discussion and possible action on Article 10, Initiative, Referendum and Recall, within
the City Charter.
6. Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding the placement of items on the agenda.
7. Presentation, discussion and possible action on Article 4, The City Manager, within the City Charter.
8. Presentation, discussion and possible action on August meeting dates, when the charter election may
occur and the timeline necessary.
9. Presentation, discussion and possible action on the attached Plan of Work, any items on the Plan of
work, and possible criteria to be used in order to add items to the Plan of Work.
10. Discussion and possible action on future agenda items —A Citizens Charter Review Commission
Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific factual
information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a
proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
11. Adjourn.
