ACTING AS THE CANVASSING BOARD TO CANVASS THE GENERAL ELECTION
CONDUCTED ON MAY 8,2010.
WHEREAS, on May 8,2010, a general election was held for the purpose of electing Mayor and Place
2 on the College Station City Council; and
WHEREAS, the returns tabulated at Central Counting held in the College Station City Council
Chambers on May 8, 2010 recorded a total of 3,897 votes cast or 10.1 1% of the registered voters at
said election; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that each of the candidates for Mayor and Council Place 2 received the following
number of votes in the elections:
PART 1:
MAYOR
Ben White
Nancy Berry
COUNCIL MEMBER PLACE 2
Jess Fields
Tony Jones
PART 2: That the City Council officially finds, determines, and declares that the election was duly
and properly ordered, that legal notice of such election was duly given in the English and Spanish
language, that the election was duly and legally held, and all residents, qualified voters in the City of
College Station, Texas were permitted to vote at the election; and
PART 3: That the City Council hereby certifies that this resolution contains the total of all votes
received by each candidate including early votes as prescribed by Section $87.1231 of the Texas
Election Code and that the results have been duly canvassed in accordance with State Law; and
PART 4: That the precinct results for each candidate on Election Day and Early Voting shall become a
part of this Resolution; and
PART 5: That Nancy Berry was duly elected as Mayor for a three year term and she shall take the
oath of office and receive a certificate of election as prescribed by the laws of the State of Texas and
the Charter of the City of College Station.

PART 6: That Jess Fields was duly elected as Council member for a three year term and he shall take
the oath of office and receive a certificate of election as prescribed by the laws of the State of Texas
and the Charter of the City of College Station.
