A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION TEXAS
ACTING AS THE CANVASSING BOARD TO CANVASS THE GENERAL ELECTION
CONDUCTED ON MAY 15 2004
WHEREAS on May 15 2004 a combined city council and school board of trustees election was held for the
purpose of electing three councllmembers and a Mayor to the College Station City Council and three
members to the College Station hldependent School District Board of Trustees
WHEREAS the returns tabulated at Central Counting held m tile College Station City Council Chambers on
May 15 2004 recorded a total of 3250 votes cast or 797 of the registered voters at said combined
election now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station Texas
That each of the candidates for Mayor Council Places 2 4 and 6 received tile following number of votes in
ths electon

That ths election was duly called notice of elecnon was given m accordance wth law and that Ron Sflwa s
hereby aulhonzed to sgn the Statement of Canvass of Electon which shall be attached to and become a part
of thru resolunon and
That Ron Sflwa was duly elected as Mayor for a three year term that John Happ was duly elected as Cty
Councdmember Place 2 for a three year term that Susan Lancaster was duly elected as City
Councllmember Place 4 for a two year term and that Nancy Berry was duly elected as Cty
Councilmember Place 6 for a two year term
That the above named persons shall take their oath of office and receive certificates of electon as provided
by the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of College Statmn
