HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003 Canvass, ResolutionRESOLUTION NO 507200301 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION TEXAS ACTING AS THE CANVASSING BOARD TO CANVASS THE ELECTION CONDUCTED ON MAY 3 2003 WHEREAS on May 3 2003 a combined city council and school board of trustees election was held for the purpose of electing three councilmembers to the College Station City Council and two members to the College Station Independent School District Board of Trustees WHEREAS the returns tabulated at Central Counting held in the College Station City Council Chambers on May 3 2003 recorded a total of 1878 votes cast or 434 of the registered voters at said combined election now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station Texas That each of hereby authorized to sign the Statement of Canvass of Election which shall be attached to and become a part of this resolution and That James Massey was duly elected as City Councilmember Place l that Robert Wareing was duly elected as City Councilmember Place 3 and that Dennis Maloney was duly elected as City Councilmember Place 5 That the above named persons shall take their oath of office and receive certificates of election as provided by the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of College Station PASSED AND APPROVED this 7th day of Mav 2003 TTEST Lity Secretary Connie
