Coversheet Review for December 5th Council Meeting: Tom reviewed agenda
item coversheets for the December 5th 2002 City Council meeting.
II. Agenda Planning Calendar: Tom reviewed the agenda items for the
upcoming Council Meetings.
III. Submitted Topics for Discussion:
Employment Branding: This item will be discussed at the December 4 meeting_
24 vs. 26 Paychecks on Health Premuims: Charles presented this item for
discussion to the Management Team. He exp/ained that current/y, afl hea/th
insurance premiums are deducted from your paycheck over 24 checks.
However Management Team has agreed that effective January 1, 2003,
amounts deducted for emp/oyee and dependent premiums wi//be divided over
26 checks (just tike the FLEX p/an). This wi//he/p to/ower the amount of the
premium increase that an emp/oyee wou/d see on each check because it is
spread over more checks.
Annual Awards Banquet: Dave discussed the recent employee banquet. He
asked about the possibility of moving the event in order to help attendance.
Update on the EIC: Julie provided an update from the recent EIC Meeting. The
main topic of the recent meeting was the increasing wellness throughout the
organization and the current survey being conducted by Human Resources.
