AGENDA ITEM NO., 1: Call to Order.
Chairman Dennis Maloney called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Presentation and discussion regarding May is National Bike
Month.
Bob Cowell discussed different options on how the race might be held and how the department
can be involved. Venessa Garza discussed what information she had received from the race
directing agency and a rough cost estimate of what the race would cost. The Board decided to
down -size the race to a 50 mile race with intentions to cut costs. Mayor Berry was in
attendance and recommended partnering with the Mayor's Council on Physical Fitness.
